Wildlife Removal Done Properly, the First Time
If something is moving in your attic, chimney, crawl space, or walls, the animal itself is only half the problem. The other half is the opening it used, and the three or four openings just like it elsewhere on the structure. Raleigh Animal Removal has been solving both halves for Triangle homeowners and institutions since 1990.
Our team of fourteen includes a staff zoologist and eight wildlife control specialists. Owner Tad Bassett holds a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Management from NC State University and previously worked for the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. That background is why we time bat work around maternity season, handle raccoons within rabies vector rules, and identify a species correctly before quoting anything.
We are humane by policy. No poison, no kill traps, mothers kept with their young, and orphaned or injured animals routed to licensed rehabilitators through Wildlife Welfare, Inc., which endorses us exclusively among Triangle wildlife companies.

Learn MoreHow Our Process Works
- 1
Inspection
A licensed technician inspects the attic, roof line, crawl space, and exterior to identify the species and map every entry point. Bat and flying squirrel inspections are free.
- 2
Humane removal
Trapping, one way doors, or hand removal depending on the animal and the season. No poison, no kill traps, and mothers stay with their young.
- 3
Exclusion
Ridge-Guard, custom formed metal, chimney caps, and vent screening seal the structure so the animals cannot return. This work carries a limited lifetime warranty.
- 4
Cleanup and repair
Contaminated insulation removal, sanitizing, odor neutralization, and repair of chewed fascia, soffits, vents, and wiring.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does animal removal cost in Raleigh?
Cost depends on the species, the size of the structure, and how much exclusion and cleanup the job requires. A one animal chimney removal is a very different job from a full attic bat exclusion with guano cleanup and re-insulation. We inspect first and quote a written scope, and inspections for bats and flying squirrels are free.
Do you use poison or kill traps?
No. We are a humane wildlife control company. We use live trapping, one way exclusion devices, and hand removal, and we work with Wildlife Welfare, Inc. to route orphaned or injured animals to licensed rehabilitators.
Is the animal going to come back?
Not through the openings we seal. Exclusion is the core of our service rather than an add on, and the areas we seal carry a limited lifetime warranty.
What animals do you handle?
Bats, flying squirrels, gray squirrels, raccoons, rats and mice, birds, and snakes, plus the exclusion, damage repair, attic restoration, and dead animal removal that follows.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We operate under Wildlife Control Agent permit #DCA25000312 and Pest Control License #1778PW, and we carry $5 million in general liability coverage.
How fast can you get here?
Our phone line is answered 24/7 and crews work seven days a week, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Most Wake County inspections are scheduled within one to two business days, and animals inside the living space are prioritized.
