Squirrel Removal in Raleigh, NC
Humane gray squirrel trapping, relocation, entry point sealing, and damage repair for Raleigh homes.
Professional Squirrel Removal in the Triangle
Eastern gray squirrels are the most common structural wildlife problem in Raleigh. They are daytime active, persistent chewers, and they treat an attic as a safe nesting box, especially during the two annual litter seasons in late winter and late summer.
A gray squirrel can open a soft fascia board or a rotted soffit corner in a single afternoon, and once one animal succeeds the scent trail invites others. Chewed wiring in the attic is the most serious risk, which is why we treat squirrel damage as an electrical and structural issue rather than just a nuisance.
We trap and relocate the resident animals, then seal the structure so the next squirrel that tries the same corner cannot get through.
Signs You Need Squirrel Removal
- Scratching and rolling noises in the attic during daylight hours, loudest at dawn and dusk
- A visible hole at a fascia board, gable vent, roof return, or soffit corner
- Squirrels running the roof line or repeatedly entering the same spot
- Chewed wiring, shredded insulation, or nesting material in the attic
- Acorn or nut shells collected in gutters, on decking, or in the attic
Our Squirrel Removal Process

Full exterior inspection to find active and vulnerable openings, plus an attic check for nests, litters, and wiring damage.

Entry sealing
Openings closed with metal flashing, hardware cloth, and repaired wood so a chewing animal cannot reopen them.

Repair
Fascia, soffit, vent, and gutter repair, plus insulation replacement where the attic was fouled.

Squirrel Removal FAQs
There are babies in the attic. What happens to them?
During litter season we work to keep the mother and young together and remove them as a unit. We do not use kill traps or poison.
Can I just seal the hole myself?
Sealing an occupied attic traps animals inside, and squirrels will chew back out through the same repair or a new spot. Removal has to come first, and the repair has to be chew resistant.
How much damage can they really do?
Chewed electrical wiring is a documented fire risk, and a season of use can ruin the insulation in an entire attic bay.
Do you handle repairs too?
Yes. Our technicians are certified in metal fabrication for wildlife exclusion and we do the carpentry ourselves.
