Our Story
Raleigh Animal Removal, operating as Triangle Wildlife Removal & Pest Control, Inc., has been solving wildlife problems for Triangle homeowners and institutions since 1990. What started as a one man operation run by a wildlife biologist is now a team of fourteen, including a staff zoologist and eight dedicated wildlife control specialists.
The reason we still exist thirty five years later is simple: we build the exclusion side of the job properly. Trapping alone gives a homeowner a quiet week. Sealing the structure with formed metal and mesh at every point an animal can reach is what ends the problem, and it is why our work carries a limited lifetime warranty and why organizations such as Wake County Public Schools and NCDOT have kept us on for decades.
We are humane by policy, not by marketing. No poison, no kill traps, mothers reunited with their young during baby season, and orphaned or injured animals routed to licensed rehabilitators through Wildlife Welfare, Inc.
Tad Bassett, Owner and President
Tad holds a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Management from NC State University and is a former NC Wildlife Resources Commission employee. With more than 35 years of hands on wildlife management experience, he remains active in field operations and service calls rather than running the company from a desk. Customers regularly reach him directly.
Derek Cline, Staff Zoologist
Derek has been on staff for 15 years and brings formal zoological training to every inspection, exclusion plan, and wildlife management project. Having a zoologist on the team is what allows us to correctly identify species, predict behavior, and time work around breeding seasons and state regulations.

- All Ridge-Guard Certified and Bird Barrier Certified
- Certified in advanced metal fabrication for wildlife exclusion and damage repairs
- Licensed Wildlife Control Technicians (WCT) working under our WCA permit
- Trained in North Carolina wildlife regulations, including bat maternity season and rabies vector species rules
